Examples of Job Assignments
Engineers
Engineers work with operating units to maximise profit by improving
efficiencies and ensuring plants operate at desired target levels. An integral
part of the work would involve new technology development and implementation
as well as plant consulting. Additionally, engineering assignments also cover
process basis setting and process design for capital projects as well as
construction and start-up activities. Material inventory management and
service agreement negotiations are other examples of work assignments.
ExxonMobil draw their graduates mainly from the engineering disciplines,
primarily Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil but also include those
from Computer Science and Chemistry disciplines. Typical job assignments range
from new technology developments, plant consulting, efficiency studies and
process design to ensure the plants operate at optimal levels in the chemical
plant, to exciting career opportunities in the refineries and terminals,
strategic and business planning groups, crude oil and product scheduling and
trading.

Sales & Marketing In Sales and Marketing positions,
employees are the key link between the Company and its customers. They
identify, develop, and execute sales plans and initiatives as well as
negotiate and administer contracts with customers and suppliers. Additionally,
Sales and Marketing staff cultivate and maintain customer and supplier
relationships.
ExxonMobil offers a diversity of job
opportunities for graduates from disciplines mainly from Accounting,
Economics, Marketing, Business, and Engineering, Arts and Social Sciences when
recruiting talent into Sales and Marketing.
Work assignments
will be around the areas of Sales Support; Marketing, Customer Support; Retail

Business/Financial Analysts Business Analysts support teams
in managing businesses, reviewing marketing plans and investment projects.
They also work with management to understand and refine strategic plans for
key businesses, providing quantitative analysis of new market segments and
positioning plans for new product offerings.
Financial
Analysts prepare financial statements, and analyze information relating to
ExxonMobil's oil, gas, transportation raw materials and products. They may
also assist in the development and implementation of ExxonMobil's financial
policies, global financing, pension and risk management activities.
Graduates could start their careers in a range of challenging experiences such
as: Financial Accounting; Earnings Analysis; Business Controls Reviews; and
Preparation of Analytical Reports for Management. At ExxonMobil Singapore,

System Analysts System Analysts provide technical software
support for applications involving hardware and software platforms, systems
installations, and maintenance and enhancement activities. Responsibilities
may include customer and user support interactions, integration of
applications into the appropriate computing environment, and database and
corporate information management analysis.

Human Resource Specialists & Staff Groups Human
Resource Specialists manage the human resource functions, such as recruiting
and employment, employee development, labour relations, compensation and
benefits systems, change management, and training. They work closely with line
managers to maximise employee and organisation capability to achieve business
objectives. Within the Human Resources function, graduates will be exposed to
HR activities with the key focus being to attract, select, develop, reward and
retain highly talented employees. The objective is to provide employees with a
broad background that supports continued career growth and development as a
Human Resource professional.

comprise Business and Management Services, and encompass Tax, Treasury, Law,
Public Affairs, Controllers, Security, and Medical & Occupational Health.
