Responsible Care Awards

Through the Responsible Care Awards programme, ExxonMobil employees and contractors are recognised for outstanding achievements in safety, health and environmental performance and community awareness. The objective is to promote Responsible Care as a way of life.

Heat integration of SPT benzene tower team

The team's focused effort led to a new heat integration system that saves more than 20 megawatts of energy by utilising existing waste heat.

Reach 4 Safety team

The team implemented a formal audit system to test the effectiveness of Singapore Chemical Plant's new standardised safety procedures and enhanced systems.

The team reached out to 4,000 people on site who depend on safety awareness every day, using tools like innovative computer graphics and animation to encourage employees to embrace safety as a personal responsibility.

Sodium benzoate conversion team

The team at the Singapore Polyolefins Plant reformulated sodium benzoate with other additives to produce a new pre-blend product packaged in bulk bags for safer handling.

Reforestation of labrador nature park team

The HarbourFront team organised more than 300 employees and their families to plant 200 trees in one day at Labrador Nature Park to reinforce the benefits of trees.

Asia Pacific regional training improvements team

In April 2006, all Asia Pacific sites began moving from a site-based Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) framework to a regional OIMS driven by business units (BOIMS). The team developed an awareness presentation pack for the regional OIMS and a training database to define awareness and skills training requirements.

Olgone implementation improves clay treaters team

A novel catalyst, created by this multi-functional team, is eliminating hundreds of tons of solid waste and emissions at the aromatics recovery units in Thailand Aromatics Recovery Project (TARP) and Singapore Aromatics Recovery (SAR).

SPT engineering contractors' office safety programme team

The team developed a minimum Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSH&E) requirement programme, which includes safety induction for all new personnel, behaviour-based safety observation programmes and tracking and reporting systems for SSH&E indicators.
