Products and their end uses

Used to make polyesters [including polyethylene terephthlate (PET)] which are commonly applied in clothings, packaging, car tyre rods and plastic bottles.
Used in x-ray, video and audio tape films.

Key basic chemical used to manufacture a wide range of intermediate products, including cyclohexane, styrene, cumene and phenol.
- Cyclohexane is used to make nylon.
- Styrene is used to manufacture polystyrene and rubber products.
- Cumene and phenol are used in health care products such as aspirin and penicillin.
