Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) event

Safety and health

At ExxonMobil, safety is not only a priority, it is a value that is at the core of our culture. We care deeply about how our operations and products affect our employees, contractors, neighbours and customers. We strive for an incident-free workplace and have set a global safety and health goal of zero injuries, illnesses and environmental impacts.

Our approach to safety and health management is yielding results, but we will not be satisfied until we have achieved a work environment in which Nobody Gets Hurt - our unifying goal.

The successful management for safety starts with the involvement of everyone from the CEO to hourly workers in a systematic and continual focus on hazard recognition and mitigation. Production and profits are never more important than safety. Never.

Our passion for safety goes beyond our fence lines and into the communities where we operate. In Singapore and elsewhere, road safety is often a risk to our employees and their communities. We are working with other like-minded organisations on various road safety initiatives to reduce risks.

Finally, our commitment to safety extends to the products that we sell. Properly used, our products provide many benefits to society. We identify and manage risks through proper product design, handling procedures and operating practices to provide the appropriate level of safety for people and the environment.

Within our industry we are a leader in extending knowledge about the health, safety and environmental effects of our products. Learnings are promptly applied and publicly shared.
