Update on flaring at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant
SINGAPORE, 22 November, 2006 – Flaring at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant is continuing, and will end once we have safely and successfully restarted the affected units.
Black smoke could be seen from the flare due to insufficient steam supply. We wish to assure that there is no risk to the public.
We are working towards restarting the units safely and as soon as posible, and are keeping all relevant authorities informed of the situation.
