We have been operating in Singapore for more than 125 years, expanding from trading kerosene to a multi-billion dollar manufacturing and marketing presence today, with about 3,500 employees here.

Singapore serves as the Asia Pacific hub for our Downstream and Chemical businesses, and it is also home to ExxonMobil's largest integrated refining and petrochemical complex in the world.

We own and operate a 592,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) refinery, which is fully integrated with the Singapore Chemical Plant (SCP). Together, the refinery and chemical plant form ExxonMobil's largest integrated manufacturing site in the world.

The refinery manufactures a wide range of fuels, lubricant basestocks and specialty products, including low-sulfur diesel, to meet increasing demand in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. It also provides advantaged feedstock to the chemical plant.

The world-scale petrochemical complex was built in 2001, and was further expanded to more than double its ethylene capacity in 2013. Today, the chemical plant's ethylene capacity stands at 1.9 million tonnes per year. The plant uses ExxonMobil's proprietary technologies to process a broad range of feedstock and convert them into higher-value products that are then sold to customers around the world.

In Singapore, we also own an extensive network of service stations under the Esso brand and supply cylinder cooking gas (LPG) to many households. We also supply the commercial market in Singapore and those around the region with industrial, aviation and marine fuels and lubricants. We also market liquefied natural gas.
